Josh Joplin is an accomplished singer-songwriter that Blender calls "a master of zippy melodies and wrenching, thought-provoking lyrics." His bent for funny, quirky narratives between songs and his sincere performances have earned him a loyal and dedicated following over the years. Paste Magazine summed it up as "Woody Guthrie's gift of storytelling, a swagger in the name of Elvis Costello but a tune all his own." Josh Joplin's collaboration with former Talking Head, Jerry Harrison led to his hit single Camera One and opened the door to appearances on Late Night with David Letterman, Conan O'Brien, and The Late-Late Show. Camera One became a featured video on MTV, VH1, and Fuse, and was used in the hit show Scrubs, among many others. Joplin's songs have also been used in Dawson's Creek, Party Of Five, and Felicity. Joplin has toured extensively in the US, Canada, Europe, and Australia and has played with Indigo Girls, Travis, Neil Finn, Ole 97's, Matthew Sweet, Cordero, and Billy Bragg. He was a featured songwriter, along with Shawn Colvin for Turner South's series on songwriters. Josh Joplin lives in New York City with his wife and daughter.
